It has been almost one year since Aunt Bernice passed away. She is missed. She was a fun aunt to be with who always showed much love to me. Aunt Bernice and Uncle Tex were the only aunt and uncle to come visit me in my home (as an adult). They came to Maggie Valley to visit me and my husband Lewis. Lewis and Aunt Bernice shared the same birth month and day. It was Aunt Bernice's second visit. She and my mother visited first. We had a great time. Then Aunt Bernice wanted to come back and bring Uncle Tex. We had a great time with them. I miss her very much. The other day I was thinking: I wish Aunt Bernice had taught me how to make biscuits. She was a terrific cook. Rest in peace, Dear Aunt. Until we meet again, I shall remember you with love.
