Obituary of Franklin Griffie

Franklin Delano Griffie, 75, passed away May 7, 2024. The widower of Patricia Lynn Griffie, Franklin was born March 10, 1949, to the late Clyde and Evelyn Combs Griffie in Floyd County, Kentucky. Franklin loved to hunt and would fish anywhere there was open water. He was a collector of all things and a handyman of many, who loved more than anything to spend time with his family, cooking and making memories.  

Franklin is survived by his daughters, Candy (Letha) Griffie of Lawrenceburg, Sheri (Fred) Griffie-Jackson of South Carolina, Robin (Shaun) Frazier of Frankfort, and Kimberly Mullins of Missouri; brothers, Charles Griffie of Ohio and Robert Griffie of Wisconsin; his grandchildren, Kacey Brown, Kayla (Masen) Ward, and Elizabeth Dinwiddle; and his great-grandchildren, Kensley Rose Brown, Aubrionna Ward, Avery Madison “Oscar” Ward, Iris Dinwiddle, and Aziria Dinwiddle,   

Private Services for Franklin will be held by his family. Clark Legacy Center, Versailles Road, Frankfort, is in charge of arrangements.
