Obituary of Nancy Bogue

Nancy Bogue, a beloved wife, devoted mother, and cherished friend to many, passed away on January 28, 2024, at the age of 89. Born on August 13, 1934, in a tiny town on the windy, dry plains of Wyoming, Nancy saw the world, lived a rich life, and made a lasting impact on many.

Nancy was beloved by her family including 3 sons, 7 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren and shared over 60 years of marriage with her beloved husband, Russ Bogue. With her rural western values, desire for excellence in everything she did, strong work ethic, a big laugh and loving nature, she created a warm, stable, and happy home for her family.

After her boys grew up, Nancy directed some of her tireless energy to starting a career, doing volunteer work and her church. As a volunteer, she became a leader in PEO, an international organization dedicated to providing educational opportunities for women and was a dedicated member of Christ Church Cathedral in Lexington, KY. Nancy also had a passion for travel and spent over 30 years working as a travel agent, sharing her love of travel and adventure with countless others. Never one to sit around or quit at anything, she continued working and volunteering into her early 80s.

We will say our goodbyes to Nancy and celebrate a life well lived on Friday, June 28, 2024 in Nicholasville, KY.

Graveside services will be held at 1:30PM at Camp Nelson National Cemetery, Nicholasville, KY followed by a gathering of family and friends at Clark Legacy Center, Brannon Crossing, Nicholasville, KY from 3-5pm.
