Obituary of Mildred Sue Hammons

Mrs. Mildred Sue Hammons, 74, passed away on Wednesday,  April 10, 2024 at the Frankfort Regional Hospital.  Mildred was born in London, KY on December 10, 1949 to the late Melvin Begley and Ella Mae Smith Begley.  Mildred was of the christian faith and loved her rose bushes, going driving on the country backroads, sitting on her porch, watching UK basketball, WWE wrestling, and she loved eating shrimp fajitas, cows tongue, dear meat, and whoppers with no pickle from Burger King.

She is survived by daughters; Brenda Brumley, Sadieville, KY; Betty Downey, Georgetown, KY; sons; Jerry Hammons (Tonya) Georgetown, KY; Michael Dale Hammons, Louisville, KY; and brother Larry Begley (Letha), London, KY. along with 9 grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren.  Mildred also leaves behind a host of relatives and friends who all mourn her passing.

Mildred was preceded in death by her parents and husband Roy Hammons.

Visitation for Mildred will be held on Friday, April 12, 2024 at Clark Funeral Home, Versailles, KY from 9:00 am to 11:00 am.  A funeral service will be held following visitation at 11:00 am with burial at Sunset Memorial Gardens in Frankfort, KY

Memorial contributions may be made in honor of Mildred to Hospice of the Bluegrass.
