Obituary of Joyce Lynn Boggs

Joyce Lynn Boggs, 71, was born January 11, 1953 and departed her earthly life on March 18, 2024 after a short illness. Joyce was the daughter of the late Leslie Boggs Sr. and Ida C. Mason Boggs. She joined First Baptist Church Georgetown at an early age. Later she joined Total Grace Baptist Church in Lexington, Ky.

She was preceded in death by her brothers, Leslie Boggs Jr., Ronald Boggs, Floyd Boggs, and her twin brother. 

She leaves to cherish her memory one son, Charlie Boggs; one daughter, Jessica Boggs; ten grandchildren and one great grandson; three sisters, Jacqueline Garrett, Kathy Guy (Arnie), and Victoria Tevis (Michael); two aunts, Mary Jackson and Brenda Johnson; two devoted friends, Alfred Miller and Vivian Jackson; and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins. 

A memorial service will be held for Ms. Joyce Boggs on Saturday, March 23, 2024 at 12pm at Total Grace Baptist Church, 1313 N. Limestone, Lexington, Ky officiated by Rev. Robert Morton. A visitation will take place from 11am till the time of service at the church. 

Honorary Pallbearers include Jabari Butler, Isahiah Butler, Tajea Mack, Jeremiah Boggs Smith, Avery Parsons, Ethan Montgomery, and Quincy Bowman.
