Obituary of Jennifer Lynn Johnson

Jennifer Lynn Johnson, 46, passed away on Tuesday, March 19, 2024, at the University of Kentucky Medical Center in Lexington.

Born December 4, 1977, in Fort Knox, she was a 1996 graduate of Paul Laurence Dunbar High School, earned an Associate’s Degree from Lexington Community College, and worked for many years as a server. She was fiercely independent and a true free spirit. Jen loved listening to punk rock and traveling, especially to the beach, and always enjoyed warm weather.  

Surviving are her father, Mark (& Ginger) Johnson of Lexington; her brother, Jamie (& Erica) Johnson of Midway; a stepbrother, Will (& Krista) Stewart of Lexington; 2 stepsisters, Bonny & Sarah Stewart, both of Lexington; the sister of her heart, Annabella (& Mark) D’Ambruoso Michaelides of Lexington; her uncle, Kereath Smith of London; five nieces & nephews: Taylor, Karli, Austin, Savannah & Sawyer Johnson; a large extended family; and her spoiled rotten cat, Perak.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Paulette Beitelspacher Johnson; her grandparents; her Aunt Judy; and her Uncle Larry.

A gathering of family and friends to honor Jen will be held on Sunday, March 24th, at Clark Legacy Center located at 601 East Brannon Road in Nicholasville. The gathering will be held from 3pm until 6pm, with a short service taking place around 5pm where loved ones will be invited to share their favorite memories of Jen. Come as you are. In lieu of flowers, the family welcomes donations to either the Lexington Humane Society or American Cancer Society, both of which were meaningful to Jennifer.
