Obituary of James David Balzer

James David Balzer, 14,  passed away on February 16, 2024 in Lancaster. James was born in Lexington, Kentucky on July 9, 2009 to Olivia and Andrew Balzer.  James was an avid video game player and known online as Glitchify.  He was very fond of animals and loved the water.  His Grandpa and Dad would take him fishing each year.  He was very good at snorkeling, wake boarding, and was just learning to scuba dive.  He also enjoyed painting and the best times were spent with his family and friends. James will be greatly missed by all who knew him. 

In addition to his parents, James is survived by his brother, Adam Baylor (Le Duyen) Jenkins; his maternal grandparents, Steve (LeAnn) Jenkins; and his paternal grandparents, Karen Balzer and Jim (Ann Marie) Balzer. 

A celebration of life service will be held for James on Saturday, February 24, 2024 at 3pm at Clark Legacy Center, Nicholasville. An informal, relaxed gathering will be held from 1pm till the time of service at the funeral home. 

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in honor of James Balzer to the Eastern Kentucky University Psychology Trauma and Suicide Prevention Development Fund.
