Obituary of Mary Delila Mahan
Mary Delila Mahan, 79, wife of the late Charles "Chuck" Mahan, passed away on January 27, 2024 in Georgetown. Mary was born in Versailles, Kentucky on February 1, 1944 to the late Granville Bobbitt and Marie T. Hunter. Mary retired as a supervisor with Texas Instruments for many years.
She is survived by her daughters, Lisa (Johnny) Ferguson, of Corinth, Sharon "Shari" Lay, of Ashland; brother, Tony (Judy) Bobbitt; sister, Patsy Bobbitt; grandchildren, Joshua Brown, Jaime (Gretchen) Morris, Matthew Day, Rachael Lay, Lyndsey (Sean) Adkins; twelve great grandchildren; and a very special fur baby she called her favorite child, Molly.
In addition to her parents and husband, Mary was preceded in death by her daughter, Linda Witman; sister, Donna Bobbitt; and her granddaughter, MaryBeth Day.
A funeral service will be held for Mary Mahan on Thursday, February 1, 2024 at 1:00pm at Clark Legacy Center, Versailles Road. Visitation will be from 11:00am till time of service at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
Serving as pallbearers are Scott Bobbitt, Rachael Lay, Lyndsey Adkins, Sean Adkins, Caleb Adkins and Stephan Hunter. Honorary pallbearers include Jonny Ferguson, David Faulkner, Tony Bobbitt, Brandon Bobbitt, and Matthew Day.
Memorial contributions may be made in honor of Mrs. Mary Mahan to the Hope Spay Neuter Clinic, Versailles, Ky.
