Obituary of Lacy Darnell Dunn

Lacy Darnell Dunn, 60, passed away on Monday, January 22, 2024. He was born to the late Franklin “Sammy” Dunn and Tressie Workman Hatton on December 21, 1963, in Versailles, Kentucky. Lacy loved to build things and took great pride in taking care of the yard, cutting grass and tending to the flowers. He was a University of Kentucky sports fan who enjoyed grilling out and spending time with his family, including his dog, Bones.  

Lacy is survived by his sons, Brandon Dunn of Louisville and Cody Dunn of Lexington; sisters, Anna Bell Long of Versailles and Lucy Merrell of Versailles; and his granddaughter, Amelia Mae Dunn. 

In addition to his parents, Franklin “Sammy” Dunn and Tressie Workman Hatton, Lacy was preceded in death by his siblings, Brenda Rose, Mark Dunn, Kathleen Downs, Norma Dunn, and James “Jimmy” Dunn.  

A Graveside Service will be held at 2:00p, on Tuesday, January 30, 2024, at Midway Cemetery, with Lacy’s nephews serving as pallbearers. Visitation will be from 11:00a until 1:30p, prior to the graveside service on Tuesday, at Clark Funeral Home, Rose Hill Ave, Versailles.
