Obituary of Lula Bell Taft

Lula Bell "Frances" Taft, 81, passed away Thursday, January 11, 2024. She was born in Lexington, KY on July 21, 1942, to the late James and Lettie (Laffoon) Barnes. Mrs. Taft was a member of Greater Faith Apostolic Church in Lexington, KY and was retired from Lexmark.

Those left to cherish her memory includes her son, James (Kim) Robinson; sister, Lydia Reynolds; grandchildren, Lindsey (Cody) Swords, Jacob (Kali) Day, and Eliza Robinson; great grandchildren, Ellie and Nash Swords, and Chloe and Jaycee Day; her beloved dog, Addie; and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her siblings, Edna Shanks, Sally Johnson, Walter Barnes, Genevieve Goodwin, James Barnes, Jr., Margaret Cuzick, Leroy Barnes and Homer Barnes.  

A memorial service will be held at her church, Greater Faith Apostolic Church, Monday, January 22, 2024, from 5-5:30 for family, 5:30-6:00 the family will welcome friends, the service will follow at 6pm lead by Pastor William McGraw and Rev. Todd Ison.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Greater Faith Apostolic Church for the expansion of the church she loved so much.
