Jennifer Evely

Obituary of Jennifer Jean Evely

Jennifer Jean Evely passed away on December 17, 2023, at her home in Lexington, Kentucky, at the age of 45, after a courageous battle with cancer. Jennifer was creative and intelligent, a loyal friend, and a faithful servant of the Lord.

Jennifer dedicated her life to serving her dearly loved family as a nurturing mother and steadfast wife. Jennifer is survived by her husband of 22 years, Cris, and their children, Elinor (13), Lillian (10), and Maxwell (3). She is also survived by her parents, Joseph and Christine Cute, and her brothers, Matthew and Zachary; and by Cris’ parents, Robert and Jill Evely, and his siblings Dusty, Chad, Kari, and Scott, along with all their spouses and Jennifer's many nieces and nephews.

Jennifer was born on November 28, 1978, in Columbus, Ohio. She was called to faith in the Lord Jesus Christ at an early age, and her faith grew throughout her life. She attended Wheaton Academy (Illinois) for high school and then Asbury College (Kentucky) where she received a bachelor’s degree in English Secondary Education. Jennifer’s career included working for the National Thoroughbred Racing Association, where she traveled the U.S. for horse racing events. Jennifer later set aside her career to devote herself full time to raising and homeschooling her children, and was active with co-ops, field trips, and Bible studies.

Throughout her life, Jennifer had a passion for creative activities and outings, from online parties, visits with friends, and dining out (anywhere with a quaint patio), to her varied hobbies of geo-caching, event planning, traveling, reading, biking, and going to theme parks. Most of all, Jennifer cherished spending time with her husband and children.

A celebration of life to honor Jennifer will be held on January 20, 2024, at 11:00 AM at the Clark Legacy Center located at 601 E Brannon Rd., Nicholasville, KY 40356.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that contributions be made to the Kids Cancer Alliance at https://www.kidscanceralliance.org, Jennifer’s favorite charity. Your support will help children and their families battling cancer.

Jennifer Evely’s gentle spirit was a blessing to her family, friends, and all those who knew her, and she will be deeply missed. In our hearts, we find comfort that she is now in the loving embrace of the Lord. May her memory be a source of inspiration.
