Obituary of Gregory W. Johnson

Gregory "Greg" Waldorf Johnson, 85, passed away on October 31, 2023 in Lexington, Kentucky. He was born in 1937 in De Forest, Wisconsin. Greg is survived by his children: Mark Johnson, Daniel Johnson, Deborah Winbun (Ron) and Michelle Service (Geoffrey), as well as eight grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. 

 He was preceded in death by his wife, Alice Johnson.  

Greg attended East High School in Madison and later pursued higher education at the University of Wisconsin. Greg proudly served in the Marines for 4 years.  

Throughout his career, Greg held executive positions in various organizations. He worked as the Executive VP of Public and Employees Relations at General Electric in Louisville, Kentucky, and also at Gilbert Commonwealth in Reading, Pennsylvania.  

A ceremony to honor Greg's life will be held on Saturday, May 18, 2024 at 11 AM at Clark Legacy Center, located at 3000 Versailles Road in Frankfort, Kentucky.  

In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to The Alzheimer's Association.
