Obituary of Jessie "Al" Albert Cheak

Jessie “Al” Albert Cheak, 68, passed away Thursday, April 6, 2023. The son of the late James Granville Cheak and Betty Ann Wilson Paskel, Al was born December 3, 1954, in Frankfort, Kentucky. A mechanic, Al enjoyed working on cars and could fix anything anyone needed him to. He was an avid UK fan, enjoyed camping and fishing, but above all, Al loved to tease and pick on his nieces and nephews, giving all of them nicknames. He loved his friends and family.  

Al is survived by his sisters, Jenny (Ken) Wilson of Frankfort, Wendy Roberts of Frankfort, and Debra Costa of Frankfort; and his nieces and nephews, Ashley LeMaster, Sara Briggs, Joshua Adkins, Brittany Evans, Jessica Lane, and James Sparks.  

In addition to his parents, James Granville Cheak and Betty Ann Wilson Paskel, Al was preceded in death by his son, Bradley Scott Cheak; a sister, Vickie Cheak; and a niece, BJ Quire.  

A Gathering of Family and Friends will be held from 1:00p until 5:00p on Saturday, April 15, 2023, at the Salato Wildlife Center “Game Farm”, in Frankfort, Kentucky 

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests Memorial Contributions be made to The Franklin County Humane Society, 1041 Kentucky Ave, Frankfort, KY 40601.
