Obituary of Juanita M Taulbee
Juanita M. Brooks Taulbee of Florida, passed away peacefully on March 26, 2023. The widow of James Taulbee, Juanita was born July 25, 1937, in Clark County, Kentucky to the late Roscoe Green and Virginia Delfie Means Brooks. She was a member of the Church of Pentecost in Frankfort, Kentucky and loved being involved in church activities. Juanita was also a member of a Christian singing group who did special inspirational singing in other churches as a part of their Christian witness. She lived in Frankfort, Kentucky most of her adult life and was a devoted wife, mother, and homemaker. She was a caregiver for several years before moving to Florida, where she has lived for the past 10 years.
Juanita is survived by her sons, John “Butch” (Lori) Berry, Greg (Judy) Taulbee, Robert (Jackie) Taulbee, and Gary (Brenda) Taulbee; sisters, Judy (Sonny) Barnes and Mildred (Sam) Chaney, a brother, Buddy Brooks; grandchildren, Shannon (James) McRoberts, David Taulbee, Jason Taulbee, Taylor Taulbee, Michael Taulbee, Christian Taulbee, James Taulbee, and Deva Taulbee; her great grandchildren, Jaiden McRoberts, Zackary Taulbee Colton Taulbee; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and good friends.
In addition to her parents, Roscoe Green and Virginia Delfie Means Brooks, Juanita was preceded in death by her husband, James Taulbee and a son, Billy Taulbee.
A Funeral Service will be held 1:00p, Tuesday, April 4, 2023, at Clark Legacy Center, 3000 Versailles Rd, Frankfort, with Pastor Bill Bailey officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens, Versailles Rd, Frankfort, where Juanita will be laid to rest next to her husband. Serving as Pallbearers will be Bucky Brooks, Shawn Wells, Tim Hall, Tuffy Chaney, Archey Chaney, and Larry Wells. Visitation will be held from 11:00a until the time of service on Tuesday, at the funeral home.
