Obituary of Lorene Joan (Linton) Gormley

Lorene Joan (Linton) Gormley, 81, widow of Alfred Michael Gormley, died on Tuesday, February 14, 2023 in Lexington, KY.  She was born on January 14, 1942 in Miami, FL to the late Everett Linton and Jean (Hay) Linton (Quarterman).  Lorene had her bachelor's degree in education and taught in Washington State, at Blue Grass Baptist School in Lexington, KY and in West Palm Beach, FL.  She was a long-time member of the Bryan Station Baptist Church, Lexington, KY.   She is survived by a sister, Sandy (John) Linton Childers; niece, Jan (Kevin) Brunk; nephews, Dan (Ashli) Childers and Ben Childers and several great nieces and nephews; two stepdaughters, Michele (Larry) Anderson, Sherrie (John) Rose and their extended families.  The service will be Friday, February 17, 2023, at 1pm in the chapel at Bluegrass Memorial Gardens; officiated by Pastor Brent Spears.  The Pallbearers will be Larry Anderson, John Rose, Dan Childers, Brandon Childers, Clint Rose and Zac Cornett.
