Obituary of Shirley Rose Sargent Crase

Shirley Rose Sargent Crase, 86, widow of Vernon Crase, passed away on Wednesday, January 11, 2023. She was born in Stillwater, Kentucky on March 9, 1936 to the late William Mort and Della Mae Tyra Sargent. Shirley was a seamstress for Union Underwear. She loved embroidery, quilting, going fishing, and she loved to play rummy.

She is survived by her daughter, Alberta Crase (Vick) Cohorn, Frankfort; 12 grandchildren; and several great and great great grandchildren.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her sons, Ellis Douglas Crase, Floyd Crockett Crase, Vernon Ray Crase; her infant twin sons; her sister, Pauline Sargent Tibbs; her infant sister, Gloria Fay Sargent; and her brothers, William Mort Sargent Jr., Edgar Eugene Sargent, Daniel Blythe Sargent, James Paul Sargent, and Robert Boone Sargent.

Funeral Service will be held at 1:00pm on Wednesday, January 18, 2023 at Clark Legacy Center, Versailles Rd with Pastor Jason King officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Serving as casketbearers will be Rocky Haney, Andrew Willis, Kayden Cohorn, Blake Oerther, Trevor Oerther, and Jonathan Abrams. Visitation will be held from 10:00am until 1:00pm on Wednesday, January 18, 2023 at Clark Legacy Center, Versailles Rd.
