Obituary of Charles Glenn Stacy Sr.

Charles Glenn Stacy, Sr., 94, passed away on Tuesday, December 6, 2022. A native of Frankfort, he was born on February 15, 1928 to the late Estil and Cecile Hazlett Stacy. He worked for National Distillery which is now known as Jim Beam in the Shipping Department for over 40 years. Charles loved going to White Castle where he was a regular; he loved shopping, just to socialize, gardening, camping, going to the beach, and woodworking. He was an active church member and attended Oakland Christian Church in Stamping Ground for 85 years. He was a Veteran of the US Marine Corp. Charles was a dedicated person, always someone you could count on.

He is survived by his daughter, Barbara (Tony) Vaughn, Lawrenceburg; his son, Charles Glenn (Stacy) Stacy Jr., Frankfort; his grandchildren, Angela (Wade) Tinsley, Jeremy (Sara) Burns, and Michael Stacy; his great grandchildren, Heather, David, Emily, Ella, and Luke; as well as his great great grandchildren, Kayden, Matthew, Joshua, and Harlow.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife of 14 years, Mayme Tackett Stacy; his second wife of 44 years, Edith Aldridge Stacy; and his siblings, Ann Ross, Betty Frank, Mildred Friskhorn, and Carl Stacy.

Funeral Service will be held at 1:00pm on Monday, December 12, 2022 at Clark Legacy Center, Versailles Rd with Bro. Scott Johnson officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be held from 11:00am until 1:00pm on Monday, December 12, 2022 at Clark Legacy Center, Versailles Rd. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Disabled American Veterans or to the March of Dimes.
