Obituary of Pearl Duncan Johnson

Pearl Duncan Johnson, 89, wife of Leonard F. “Doby” Johnson, passed away on Friday, September 30, 2022. She was born in Paris, Kentucky on January 9, 1933 to the late John Thomas and Anna Frances Burton Duncan. She was a computer operator for Appalachian Regional Hospital. Pearl was a member of Forks of Elkhorn Baptist Church, and she attended Memorial Baptist Church where she was a member and treasurer of the Ann Mary Bible Study Class. She loved traveling and camping. Pearl was a member of the Capital City Classic Car Club and the American Legion Women’s Auxiliary. She loved her cats, Garfield, Lemar, and Bentley.

In addition to her husband of 69 years, she is survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family members.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her siblings.

Funeral Service will be held at 11:00am on Tuesday, October 4, 2022 at Clark Legacy Center, Versailles Rd with Rev. Mike Colston officiating. Entombment will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be held from 9:00am until the time of service on Tuesday, October 4, 2022 at Clark Legacy Center, Versailles Rd.
