Obituary of James Edward Nichols

James Edward Nichols, 80, husband of Nancy Nichols, passed away on September 17, 2022 in Lexington.  James was born in Hopkinsville, Kentucky on July 6, 1942 to the late Jack and Mattie Nichols. He was a Field Officer with the Kentucky Department of Revenue for many years. 

In addition to his wife, Nancy, James is survived by his children;  Chris (Laura) Nichols, of Fort Lauderdale, FL; Dawn (Carl) Kroboth, of Buckner, KY; and Rhonda (Kelly) Sweasy, of Buckner, KY; and grandchildren, Grace Nichols, Emilie Kroboth, Carl Paul Kroboth, Logan Sweasy, and Olivia Sweasy. 

James was preceded in death by his parents. 

A gathering of friends and family for James will be held on Thursday, September 22, 2022 from 11am to 1pm, at Clark Legacy Center-Brannon Crossing, with a memorial service at 1pm. A graveside service will immediately follow at Bluegrass Memorial Gardens, Nicholasville.
