Obituary of Julia Thurman

Julia Thurman, 57, passed away on Tuesday, July 19, 2022. A native of Frankfort, she was born on February 8, 1965 to the late Chester and Dorothy Stewart Broughton. Julia was a mother to everyone like the love of her life, Mike Renfro, who passed in 2016, together they instilled love, compassion for others, hard work, and good values. She enjoyed fishing, camping, cooking, and taking her children to theme parks.

She is survived by her children, Samantha Renfro, Melissa Thurman, John Renfro, and Michael Renfro, all of Frankfort; her sister, Alpha Lemay, Paris; her brothers, Thomas (Connie) Broughton, and Daryl Ross, Sr., both of Frankfort; and her 15 grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by the love of her life of 35 years, Mike Renfro; and her sister, Hazel Ross. 

Gathering of Family and Friends will be held from 5:00pm until 8:00pm at Lebanon Baptist Church, Frankfort on Friday, July 29, 2022.
