Obituary of Lowell Thomas Devers

Lowell Thomas Devers, 80, husband of Wilma Kelly Devers, passed away on Wednesday, June 29, 2022. A native of Woodford County, he was born on June 2, 1942 to the late George and Louvina Rodgers Devers. Lowell worked in maintenance for Ball Homes and was a member of Midway Baptist Church.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children, Mary Ann (Bill) Kelly, Frankfort, Jill Bishop, Harrodsburg, Rhonda Sowder, Harrodsburg, Jeffrey Dean (Donna) Devers, Lawrenceburg, and Allen Perkins; his sister, Helen Eades, NC; his sister-in-law, Belinda Kelly; his grandchildren, Connie (Mike) Sester, Kayla (Jacob Flygstad) Higgins, Shanna (Jacob) Turner, Angela (Jeremy Wilburn) McDonald, Wyatt Bishop, and Landon “Speedy” Bishop; as well as his 19 great grandchildren.

Funeral service will be held at 6:00pm on Tuesday, July 5, 2022 at Clark Legacy Center, Versailles Rd with Rev. Tony Andre officiating. Burial will be private. Serving as casketbearers will be Wyatt Bishop, Landon “Speedy” Bishop, Jacob Turner, Ernest Gunn, Allen Perkins, and Bill Kelly. Honorary casketbearers will be Camdon Higgins, Calen Higgins, Aiden Turner, and Joshua Russell, Jr. Visitation will be held from 4:00pm until 6:00pm on Tuesday, July 5, 2022 at Clark Legacy Center, Versailles Rd. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Midway Baptist Church Building Fund.
