Obituary of Julie Noel Gorham

Julie Noel Gorham, age 71, passed away on Saturday, April 23, 2022, in Lexington, KY. Julie was born in Winchester, KY, on May 22, 1950, to the late Catherine Clark and the late James Noel.

She was affectionately known as Mom, Granny JuJu, Big J, JuJu, Mama G, and Julie. She touched so many lives with her fun-loving personality and her affinity for flair. She loved a great costume, dress, shoe, earring, or bag. She was happiest when she was at the beach with her toes in the sand, waves crashing in front of her, a good book, and a cold Bud Light. She also enjoyed spending time with family and friends, laughing and dancing the night away. She loved her grandsons “to the moon and back” six times. She loved her family more than life and family wasn’t always blood. She claimed many as her children and those who were lucky enough to know that love were blessed for a lifetime.

Julie is survived by her daughter Lindsay Slaughter (Andrew) and their sons Matthew Quinn (9) and Maximus Blue (15mo), of Lexington, KY; brother Dr. Robert A. Noel, MD of Louisville, KY; daughter in law Lindsey Brown Gorham, of Charleston, SC; numerous nieces and nephews and many other extended family that she loved so very much.

She is preceded in death by her parents, sister Susan Linville, and son Matthew Gorham.

A Celebration of her Life is scheduled for Saturday, May 14, 2022, from 11a to 2p, at the Clark Legacy Center, 601 E Brannon Rd, Nicholasville, KY 40356
