There was never anyone sweeter or kinder than Gary. I will always remember his smiling face. I'm glad I got to see him the last time I was there.

Prayers for the family. Gary was my first Scout Master and I can honestly say that without him I would not have made it to Eagle Scout. He always kept us going on adventures and laughing. He was a great motivator and you could always tell that he cared greatly about us. Rest well Gary, you will be missed.

Sending prayers of comfort and my sincere condolences to my nephew Jamie as well as all of the Roberts family. Gary was my son's Scout Leader and we thought the world of him. I have to agree about his contagious laugh.

Keta, Jamie, Flipper and family,
I am so very sorry for your loss. May you find some comfort and peace from your memories of love and laughter with Gary.
I grew up with Gary and his family. Our families lived side by side for many, many years. He was like a big brother to me. He was a jokester and a lot of fun, and he looked out for me. When he went off to the Navy he would send gifts to us, like candy or trinkets. One time he sent me a bathing suit from Hawaii and I strutted that thing everywhere because it was special; it was from him and it came from such a far away place!
He had such a unique laugh, it was known as the Uncle Gary laugh. I’ve never heard anyone come close to it and it was infectious. He was happy and fun and would tell stories for as long as anyone would listen. He was s great storyteller and could remember every little detail. You definitely wanted him on your trivia team and partner when playing cards. I have so many memories of him and great times! He will be dearly missed!
