Obituary of James Jewell Hieatt I

James Jewell Hieatt I, 64, husband of Deletta "Dee" Hieatt, passed away on April 4, 2022 in Danville, Kentucky. James was born in Keokuk, Iowa on June 21, 1957 to the late William Hieatt and Cynthian Stivers. He worked as a master electrician for many years and was a skilled handyman. He was also a 32nd Degree Mason, and a devout Christian. He loved hunting, woodworking, playing guitars, ham radio, camping, grilling, drawing, marshall arts, and a host of others. But, being on his and his wife’s farm was his favorite place to be.

In addition to his wife, Deletta, James is survived by his sons, Zachary (Shaylin) Hieatt, Shelbyville, KY, Austin Hieatt, Eminence, KY, James "Jimmy" Hieatt II, NV, Billy (Leslie Jo) Hieatt, Keokuk, IA, John Stone, Lexington, KY, and Justin Pennington; his daughters, Kaitlin Hieatt, Eminence, KY, Mandy Hieatt, Somerset, KY, Brittney Bethany, Lexington, KY, and Sincerely Hieatt, Eminence, KY; his siblings, Cindy (Paul) Nagy, AZ, David (Kathy) Hieatt, TX, and Allen (Shelly) Hieatt, AZ; and six grandchildren: Kinsley, Brayleigh, Haley, Samantha, Shaunte, Nathan, 1 greatgrandchild Elijah. Several nieces and nephews. Also, his many, many friends.

He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
