Obituary of James G. "Jim" Vanhoose

James G. VanHoose, ("Jim"), 85, widower of Shirley Means VanHoose, passed away on Thursday, February 10, 2022. He was born in Paintsville, KY on January 9, 1937 to the late Gordon and Edna Robinson VanHoose. He retired from Tecumseh in Somerset, Ky, as a computer programmer.  He was employed at Texas Instruments as an electronic engineer in Versailles, Ky, prior to his retirement.  Jim was a Veteran of the US Army. 

He is survived by his daughter, Sandra (Lloyd) Jones, Midway; his son, Phillip VanHoose, Lexington; his brother, Robert (Sharon) VanHoose, FL; his sister-in-law, Mary VanHoose, TN; his grandchildren, Carrie (David) Apple and Crissie (Damon) Evans; and his great grandchildren, Kiaya and Ben, and Macey, Mia, and Brady. 

Funeral service will be held at 1:00pm on Thursday, February 17, 2022 at Clark Legacy Center, Versailles Rd with Rev. Todd Lester officiating. Visitation will be held from 11:00am until the time of service on Thursday, February 17, 2022 at Clark Legacy Center, Versailles Rd.
