Obituary of Joe Barden Warren

Joe Barden Warren, age 83, passed away on Tuesday, January 11, 2022.  He was born on January 4, 1939 to the late Josephine Hunt McConathy and Walter Barden Warren, Jr.  After graduating from Lafayette High School in 1957, he enlisted in the U.S. Army, and afterwards attended the University of Kentucky.  He was employed by Womwell Auto Parts for nearly 30 years, as well as working in the real estate and housing market until he retired.  He was very involved with Boy Scouts, Habitat for Humanity, and the playground project at Cardinal Hill Hospital.  In 1961, he married Phyllis Lutes Warren, going on to have 3 daughters; Kimberly Warren Meade, Dana (Mike) Warren McLaughlin, and Holley (Brent) Warren Bolin.  He is survived by one sister, Judy (Tom) Warren Marcum, one brother-in law, Steve (Sherry) Lutes, and six grandchildren; Jessica and Allison Meade, Jake Brust and Reese McLaughlin, and Jack and Sawyer Bolin. 

Visitation will be at Crestwood Christian Church, 1882 Bellefonte Drive, Lexington, KY on Saturday, January 15th from 11:00-1:00, with funeral immediately after at 1:00 pm. Graveside service at 2:30 pm at the Lexington Cemetery.
