Obituary of Nelson Joseph Smith

Nelson Joseph Smith, 71, husband of Susan Holbrook Smith, passed away Thursday, January 6, 2022 at Baptist Health Lexington. He was born January 14, 1950 in Lexington, Kentucky to the late Lewis and Marshaneal Smith. 

Besides his wife he is survived by his daughter, Alex Smith; grandson, Cooper Quaglio; sister, Teresa (Ronny) Epperson; brother, Ted (Karen) Smith. 

Funeral service will be held at 11:30 AM, Monday, January 17, 2022  at Clark Legacy Center, Brannon Crossing, with a visitation to follow from 12:30 PM-2 PM with Barbara Whaley, M. Div. officiating the service, Eulogy will be read by Bruce Simpson and scripture readings will by David Noble and Ronny Epperson. Entombment will be private at Blue Grass Memorial Gardens. Casketbearers will be Ted Smith, Ronny Epperson, Ryan Smith, Bill Hayden, Rod Kennedy and Jack Coats. Honorary Casketbearer will be Cooper Quaglio.
