Obituary of Charles Robert (Bob) Saltsman

Charles Robert (Bob) Saltsman, 88, from Lexington, KY, passed away on November 17, 2021 with family by his side.

Born in Loretto Kentucky on January 31, 1933 to John Edgar Saltsman and Mary Leona Berry Saltsman. He was one of 16 children.

He is survived by his wife Sherry McCullough Saltsman, children Chuck (Rita), Shelly (Jerry) Tucker, Teresa Saltsman, Lisa Saltsman Wheeler, Annette Saltsman, Gina (Terry) Culver, Tina (David) Poynter, Melissa Goforth. Bob cherished his 10 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.

Bob served in the Army of the Korean War. He worked briefly in sales for Wayne Supply Company and spent 31 years working for National Linen Service.

His love for motorcycles, woodworking, camping, reading and watching westerns and tinkering in his garage kept him busy when he wasn’t doting on his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Services will be held November 23, 2021 at Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, Lexington, KY at 10:30 am, followed by burial at Camp Nelson National Cemetery at 12:30, in Nicholasville, KY.
