Robert Castle

Obituary of Robert Louis Castle

Bob was born in White Plains, NY to Evelyn and Kenneth Castle. He moved to Lexington Ky in 1957 with IBM in a career in Project Management and Purchasing for 35 years. Post retirement he and his wife Hazel owned and operated a Baskin Robbins franchise for 13 years. During those years several of his grand children and nieces worked there.

One of Bob’s greatest loves in life were his dogs. One was just as special as the next. He was an amazing artist, and enjoyed playing piano and keeping his yard beautiful.

Bob was preceded in death by his parents and his second born son, Robbie, and his brother, Ken.

Surviving are his beloved wife, Hazel, his Australian shepherd ‘Tee-Bo’, his sister Alice (Dan) from Brewster, MA; Daughters Marianne (Mike), Mindy (Blake), and Missy. He also leaves behind six grandchildren and six great grandchildren. Also, four sister in laws and their families, and special great nephew Greyson.

A graveside service will take place at Bluegrass Memorial Gardens at 3:00pm November 3rd, followed by a reception at Clark Legacy 601 E. Brannon Rd. Nicholasville KY 40356.

Much gratitude to Baptist Health Lexington Cancer Center and 5B, and Bluegrass Care Navigators.
