Obituary of Kenneth Eugene Shell Sr.

Springfield - Kenneth Eugene Shell, Sr., 69, husband of Mary Malott Shell, passed away on September 1, 2021 in Louisville. Kenneth was born in Midway, Kentucky on April 5, 1952 to the late Grover Eugene Shell and Lucille Brown Hughes. He was Veteran of the United States Marine Corp.

In addition to his wife he is survived by his daughters, Jeanna Mae (Nathan) Carney. Shannon Marie (Scottie) Caldwell, Stacey Renee Shell; sons, Kenneth Eugene Shell, Jr. and Daniel Mikail Shell; five grandchildren, Brooke Hottinger, Ashley Caldwell, Madison Caldwell. Blake Hottinger, Cheyanne Schnaidt and Derrick Schnaidt; brothers, David (Brenda) Brown and Mark (Morah) Shell.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Grover and Lucille; sister, Lara Shell and his brother Steve Shell.

Graveside services will be held at 9 AM, Friday, September 3, 2021 at Camp Nelson National Cemetery. Serving as pall bearers will be Daniel Shell, Blake Hottinger, Nathan Carney, Joe Petty, Freddie Shell and Christian Stapp. Honorary pall bearers are, Scottie Caldwell, David Brown, Mark Shell and Kenneth Shell, Jr.
