Obituary of Richard Allen Meriwether

Richard Allen Meriwether, 76, husband of Denia Payne-Meriwether, passed away on Thursday, May 6, 2021. A native of Frankfort, he was born on May 15, 1944, to the late Richard and Lida Louise Heck Meriwether. He worked for Bendix for 24 1/2 years and was a Veteran of the US Army. Richard was a member of the American Legion Post 7 and Crestwood Baptist Church. He loved fishing, hunting, and playing cards with his wife. Richard turned his life over to God and was a good man who loved the Lord.  

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his stepson, Ravon Michael Payne; his sister, Linda (John) Schroeder; and his brother, Virgil Eugene Meriwether.  

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, John Lister Meriwether.  

Funeral Service will be held at 12:30pm on Monday, May 17, 2021 at Clark Legacy Center, Versailles Rd. Burial will follow at Camp Nelson National Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 10:30am until 12:30pm on Monday, May 17, 2021 at Clark Legacy Center, Versailles Rd.
