Obituary of Shayne Miller Pearce

Shayne Miller Pearce, 41, passed away Monday, March 15, 2021. He was born on January 25, 1980 in Butte, Montana to Cheryll Miller Markins and Ray Pearce. Shayne graduated from the University of Kentucky with his bachelor's degree and he worked in construction as a crane operator.  He attended Saint Peter and Paul Catholic Church.  

In addition to his mother and father, Shayne is survived by his stepfather, George Markins; son, Cassius William Reid; girlfriend, Jessica Rascon; maternal grandmother, Edith Miller; sisters, Farrah (Mike) Burke, Shanna (Greg) Loewen, and Kelley Folsom; his aunt and uncle, Jess and Jan Markins; uncles, William F. (Adrian) Miller, Jr. and Eddie Markins; great aunt and uncle, Arlene and Larry Staton; nieces, Abby Loewen, and Emily Loewen; and nephews, Brendan Lyons, Alec Lyons, and Derrick Lyons; great niece, Athena Lyons; and numerous cousins. 

Shayne is preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, William F. Miller, Sr.  

Shayne was a local hip-hop star, poet, and author. He enjoyed boxing and cooking. In his free time, Shayne volunteered for charity benefits for troubled youth, mentored underprivileged children, and was an avid volunteer at the Hope Center. His family lovingly described Shayne as kind, creative, funny, and had a memorable smile and laugh.  

A memorial service will be Saturday, March 20, 2021 at 3PM, Clark Legacy Center, Brannon Crossing.  

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Hope Center.
