Obituary of Edward "Ted" Peniston

Edward “Ted” Peniston, 80, husband of Mary Peniston, passed away Thursday, February 18, 2021. Mr. Peniston was born December 28, 1940 in Louisville, KY to the late Nellie and Edward Peniston. Mr. Peniston served in the US Army and worked in security. 

In addition to his wife of 52 years, he is survived by his daughter, Rebekah Peniston; sons, Brian (Clay) Peniston, and Christopher (Kelly) Peniston; sister, Patricia Lane; and grandchildren, Nicholas Peniston, Christian Peniston, David Peniston, Matthew Peniston, and Ashton Peniston.  

Mr. Peniston was a faithful member of his beloved church, Church of the Savior, Brannon Rd. He also loved his school, Male High School, Louisville KY. Mr. Peniston loved the Cubs baseball team, he played football for his school, and as a member of the 50-year club, he still cheered on his old high school.  

Funeral Service will be held, Wednesday, February 24, 2021 at his church, Church of the Savior, 1301 Brannon Rd, in the Student Center at 1PM. Pastor Steve Pearson and Bob Hale will be officiating.  Visitation will be from 11AM until time of service. Entombment will be at 2PM, Bluegrass Memorial Gardens, Nicholasville, Mr. Peniston’s sons and grandchildren will be serving as casket bearers. 

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in Mr. Peniston’s honor to Hospice of the Bluegrass.
