Obituary of James Ernest Miller

James Ernest Miller, 95, passed away Thursday, November 12, 2020. Husband of the late Carlee Holscher Miller, James was born April 13, 1925 to the late Charles and Ernastien Kindevator Miller in Perrysburg, OH. A US Army veteran, he was a Private in Company C, 47th Battalion in the 5th Armored Division and found himself at the Battle of the Bulge.  James was a farmer and raised race horses. He was known a true neighbor who was always willing to lend a hand or help in any way he could. He was a great man, father, grandfather, and neighbor.  

James is survived by his daughters, Melissa Miller of Versailles and Erna Miller of Florida; brothers, Carl Miller, Bill Miller, and Tom (Pam) Miller; and may grandchildren and great grandchildren.  

In addition to his wife, Carlee Holscher Miller and parents, Charles and Ernastien Kindevator Miller, James was preceded in death by a daughter, Karla Miller; sons, Grant Miller and Dennis Lee Moosman, and sister, Wilma Hanely.  

A Funeral Service will be held 1:00pm, Monday, November 16, 2020 at Clark Funeral Home, Rose Hill in Versailles, with Rev. Hannah McIntyre officiating. Burial will be 1:00pm, Tuesday, November 17, 2020 at Highland Memory Gardens in Waterville, OH. Visitation will be held from 11:00am-1:00pm prior to the service on Monday, at the funeral home.  

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests Memorial Contributions to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
