Obituary of Iris "Irene" Allred

<b>Murphy, NC</b> Iris Irene Allred, 87, of Marble, North Carolina and formerly of Nicholasville, Ky., passed away Thursday May 2, 2013, at Murphy Medical Center. She was born Jan. 4, 1926 to Jacob Amos Wakefield and Reba Louena Cross Wakefield in Fentress County Tenn. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, Travis Clayton Allred; four sisters, Nell Hale, JoAnn Thompson, Bobbye Peltier and Mary Elam. She is survived by two sons; Gregory Travis (Faye) Allred of Marble, North Carolina and Brad Wakefield (Pat) Allred of Nicholasville Ky. Eight grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren; three sisters, Jean Christensen, Jonnie Hale and Amy Bilbrey. <b>Funeral Information</b> The family will receive friends from 5-7 PM Sunday May 5, at The Clark Legacy Center, 601 E. Brannon Road, Nicholasville Ky. Burial will be Monday at 10 AM, May 6th, at Maple Grove Cemetery in Nicholasville KY.
