Obituary of Opal Akers

<b>Obituary</b> Opal Akers, 86, of Lexington, Kentucky and formerly of Finance Holler in Floyd County, Kentucky, died Thursday, February 14, 2013. She was born November 15, 1926 in Pikeville, Kentucky to the late Crit and Sarah Clark. Opal is survived by her daughter, Terry Fisher of Lexington, Kentucky; four grandchildren, Ryan (Amy) Fisher, Jamie (Crystal) Fisher, Tammy Prater Smith and Tina Prater; her great grandchildren (who were the "Joy of her Life"), Grayson and Jackson Fisher and Madsion, Jamison and Landon Fisher; her brother, Victor (Nancy) Clark of Jamestown, Kentucky; and many special nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Opal was preceded in death by her daughter, Theresa Mae Stepp Prater; sisters, Lola, Georgia and Sweetie; and brothers, Thurland, Carmel, Thomas and Billie. <b>Funeral Information</b> Visitation will be 2-4 pm, Sunday, February 17, 2013 at Clark Legacy Center in Brannon Crossing, followed by a Funeral Service at 4 pm with Pastor Steve Drury officiating. Burial will be 1 pm, Monday, February 18 at Davidson Memorial Gardens in Floyd County, Kentucky.
