Obituary of Dorothy Beatrice Morton

<b>Obituary</b> Dorothy Beatrice Morton, 86, of Lexington, Kentucky, passed away Thursday, March 22, 2012 peacefully in her home. She was born in Versailles, Kentucky on July 11, 1925, the second daughter to the late Howard and Leona Atwell (Wethington). She worked at General Electric Company, and retired from IBM both in Lexington. Dorothy is survived by her two daughters, Irene Witt of Lexington, Kentucky and Marye (Mark) Weis of New York; two sons, Thomas E. Morton of Lexington, Kentucky and Elzie A. Morton of West Liberty, Kentucky; six grandchildren, Laura (Jerry) Sparks, Angie Kirk, Kim (Kris) Grohl, Tommy Morton Jr., Ricky B. Gregory, Kris Gregory; ten great-grandchildren, Athena Grohl, Madison Sparks, Makayla Abernathy, Andrew Becraft, Keelyn Becraft, Jacob Kirk, Derek Grohl, Kris E. Gregory, Thomas E. Morton, Blaine Gregory; two great-great-grandchildren, Gabrielle Becraft and Jayden Becraft; two brothers, Joseph E. Atwell and William "Bill" Wethington; as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her five sisters, Edna Atwell, Doris Jean Wethington, Ann Gabbard; Catherine Slaven and Irene Hazelwood; and two brothers, James Atwell and Russell Wethington. <b>Funeral Information</b> Visitation for family and friends will be 5-8 pm, Tuesday, March 27 at Clark Legacy Center. Funeral service will be 1 pm, Wednesday, March 28 with the Reverend Russell Wethington Jr. officiating. Burial will follow on Wednesday in Bluegrass Memorial Gardens, Nicholasville, Kentucky.
