Obituary of Roy Amos Human

<b>Lexington, Kentucky</b> Roy Amos Human, 80, husband of Mary Jane Porter Human, died Wednesday, May 14, 2014 at Veterans Medical Center, Leestown Road, <b>Lexington, Kentucky</b>. He was born October 1, 1933 in Deer Lodge, Tennessee to Amos and Gladys Huckaby Human. Roy is a veteran of the United States Army. He moved to Venezuela and Trinidad working in the oil industry for 11 years. There he met his wife, Janie and had their daughter Marta Jane Human. After their adventure in South America they decided to move to Okmulgee, Oklahoma and created the Argentina Steak House. While in Okmulgee they had their son Roy Joshua Human and decided to take their restaurant business to Tulsa, Oklahoma. After creating and running five restaurants in Oklahoma and Arkansas they decided to move back to his home state of Kentucky. They have lived in <b>Lexington, Kentucky</b> for almost 30 years and have fully enjoyed their life together! Upon his passing Roy and Janie were one month away from their 50th wedding anniversary. Roy was known for being a story teller, having a cold beer, and working out in the yard. Roy and Janie's home was a gathering place for holiday get togethers, where he could be found telling stories and smoking with the ladies. Roy also had a love for dancing the jitter bug with his beautiful wife. He is survived by his wife, Janie; daughter, Marta; son, Josh; daughter in-law, Kelly Human; grandchildren, Riley Arriola, Walker Human, Fitzpatrick Human, and the next addition, Jameson Human. He is preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Helen (Jim) Human and Virginia (GC) Criscillis; brothers, Otto (Jean) Human and Ray (Jane) Human. <b>Funeral Information</b> Graveside service will be 1:30pm, Friday, May 16, 2014 at Camp Nelson National Cemetery. A gathering of family and friends will be from 4-6pm, Friday, May 16, 2014 at Clark Legacy Center, Brannon Crossing.
