Obituary of John C Jackson

<b>Frankfort</b> FRANKFORT - John C. Jackson, 63, husband of Anne Elliston Jackson, passed away on Sunday, June 22, 2014 at his home. He was born in Franklin County on February 24, 1951 to the late William and Mabel Johnson Jackson. John was a retired Data Base Analyst for the Commonwealth Office of Technology and a member of Good Shepherd Catholic Church. He was a member of Knights of Columbus, St. Vincent DePaul Society, the KY Walking Horse Association HIO, and the Ohio Valley Walking Horse Association. He was a former Board of Director for the Kentucky Walking Horse Association and a founding member of the KY Walking and Racking Horse Trainers Association. In addition to his wife, John is survived by his son, Mark M. (Selina) Mahoney of Georgia; his daughter-in-law, Heather Mahoney of Lexington; his sisters, Phyllis (Larry) Stigers of Midway and Judy (Jeff) Scott of Lawrenceburg; his brother, Billy (Lea Ann) Jackson of Lawrenceburg; his grandchildren, Alexandra Mahoney, David Mahoney, Kaden Mahoney, Chase Logan, Gabriel Matta, Marissa Matta and Kayla Matta; and his special friend, Kris Hockensmith Dunn. John was preceded in death by his son, Brandon P. Mahoney. The family would like to express much appreciation to Dr. James Lee Jackson, Dr. Gregory Monohan, Rose Mulberry and Hospice of <b>Frankfort</b>. <b>Funeral Information</b> Services will be held at 11AM on Thursday at Good Shepherd Catholic Church, with Father Charles Howell officiating, followed by burial at <b>Frankfort</b> Cemetery. Serving as casketbearers will be David Mahoney, Kaden Mahoney, Billy Scott Jackson, Steven Jackson, Larry Alan Stigers, Brian Stigers, Jared Scott, Darren Jackson, Chris Jackson and Chase Logan. Honorary casketbearers will be Joe Penn and Reid Elliston. Visitation will be held at the church on Wednesday from 5-8PM, with a prayer vigil service/celebration of life at 7:30PM and on Thursday from 10AM until the time of service.
