Obituary of Bobby Dale Vittitow

<b>Obituary</b> Bobby Dale Vittitow, 67, of Lexington, Kentucky, passed away Saturday, October 27, 2012. He was born July 18, 1945 in Boston, Kentucky. He was the son of the late Henderson and Nannie Vittitow and brother to Shirley, Bonzie, Sue, Rodney, Joan, Janet, Mike and Gregory. Bob served 4 years in the Marine Corps directly after high school. He then founded B. D. Vittitow Contractors, Inc. and worked as a general contractor for the majority of his life. He was married to Mary Prince Baker, and they had two children before they later divorced. He had a big personality and an even bigger heart. He made friends easily and tried to help everyone he met. He was much loved by all who knew him. Bob was a great friend, loving father and grandfather, and will be missed greatly. He is survived by his children, Brandon (Amy) Vittitow and Kara (Scot) Vittitow-Van Heuvelen, both of Nicholasville, Kentucky and four grandchildren, Alexis, Brinlee, Chyler and Kaylin. He is also survived by his remaining siblings, Shirley Bundy of Lexington, Kentucky, Bonzie Smith of Bardstown, Kentucky, Sue (Leon) Donahue of Louisville, Kentucky, Joan (Ben) Carter of Bardstown, Kentucky and Gregory (Charlene) Vittitow of Lexington, Kentucky; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. <b>Funeral Information</b> Burial will be 2:30 pm on Friday, November 2, 2012 at Camp Nelson National Cemetery in Jessamine County. A Gathering of Family and Friends in Bob's honor will follow from 4-8 pm, Friday, November 2 at Clark Legacy Center in Brannon Crossing, 601 East Brannon Road, Nicholasville, Kentucky 40356.
