Obituary of Edgar R Smith

<b>Lexington, Kentucky</b> Edgar R. Smith, 76, went to be with the Lord on October 26th, 2014. He was the widow of Gloria Jean "Honey" Smith. Edgar was born in Millville, KY on June 3, 1938 to the late William Thomas and Ethel Florence Ward Smith. He was retired from IBM in Lexington. Edgar was a member of Clay's Mill Road Baptist Church where he had served at one time as a youth minister. He is survived by his children, Edgar Steven (Pamela) Smith, of Ft. Worth, TX, Debbie Loraine (David) Meade, of Lexington, Irvine Jay Smith, of Spring Hill, FL, 9 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Gloria, his daughter, Anglia Renee Smith and brother, William Clarence Smith. <b>Funeral Information</b> Funeral services will be Friday, October 31st at 10 a.m. at Clay's Mill Road Baptist Church officiated by Rev. Flynn Rodgers and Rev. Mike Dunn . Burial will follow at Bluegrass Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be Thursday, October 30, 2014, 5-8 p.m. at the church.
