Obituary of Joe Wallen

<b>Lexington, Kentucky</b> Joe Wallen 86, husband of 66 years to RuthAnn Haines Wallen, died Wednesday July 16, 2014 at Hospice Care Center in Lexington. He was born in Louisa, Kentucky, son of the late Jerry and Josephine Wells Wallen. He was a former manager with Western Southern Life Insurance Company in Maysville, and a veteran of the US Army. He loved golf, his grandsons and great grandchildren, nature and he could grow anything. Surviving besides his wife is his daughter Connie Susan Wallen (Dane) Poe of Lexington; four grandchildren, Brian (Ali) Poe of Lexington, Jason (Laura) Poe of Ashburn, VA, Nathan Poe and Kip Poe of Lexington; and four great grandchildren, Kalin C. Poe, Ella Rae Poe, Maxwell V. Poe, and Jackson P. Poe. <b>Funeral Information</b> Gathering of family and friends will be 2-5pm Sunday July 20, 2014 at Clark Legacy Center in Brannon Crossing. Burial will be 1:30 Monday July 21, at Camp Nelson National Cemetery.
