Obituary of Charles E. Marks

<b>Obituary</b> Charles E. Marks, 80, of Lexington, Kentucky and husband of Phyllis Marks, passed away Tuesday, December 18, 2012 surrounded by his family. He was born April 4, 1932 in Lexington, Kentucky to the late Frances and Richard E. Marks, Sr. Charlie served his country in the United States Navy during the Korean Conflict. He worked as a tool and die maker/production engineer and retired from Johnson Controls in 1993. He was a big UK fan, and he spent many hours on the golf course playing the game he really enjoyed. Along with his loving wife of 59 years, Charlie is survived by his children, Vicky (Robert) Hughes of Campbellsville, Kentucky, Steve (Rhonda) Marks of Lancaster, Kentucky and Susan (Curtis) Benge of Nicholasville, Kentucky; two grandsons, Jason and Matthew (Erin) Hughes; granddaughter, Jodi Bowles; great granddaughter, Ansley Hughes; and three brothers, Mickey, Robert and Harold Marks. In addition to his parents, Charlie was preceded in death by his sister, Betty Vittitow and brother, Richard Marks, Jr. <b>Funeral Information</b> A Gathering of Family and Friends will be 11 am - 1 pm, Saturday, December 22, 2012 at Clark Legacy Center in Brannon Crossing, with a Time of Sharing at 12:30 pm.
