Obituary of James "Jim" V Johnson

<b>Obituary</b> James V. Johnson, (Jim) died Wednesday, May 8, 2013. He is survived by his daughter, Shannon Johnson; son, Peter Shepard; grandchildren Emily and Abby Robinson, Cameron and Madison Shepard, sister, Betsy Johnson, and nieces Anne Marie, Amy and Elizabeth Drolet. After graduating from Henry Clay High School in 1964, Jim served four years in the Air Force during the Vietnam War. Jim went to Kentucky State University where he received a degree in Computer Science. He worked at IBM/Lex Mark for over 30 years, and ended a very successful career when he retired in 2002. Jim was a lifetime member of the American Legion where he served two terms as Commander of the American Legion, Post 8, from 1996-1998. He remained active in the post for many years also as a volunteer for the Boys State organization. He worked closely with the local high schools to promote Boys State and award scholarships for students. Jim was a devoted father, grandfather, and friend to many. He was a supporter of many local and national charitable organizations. He was loved by many and respected by all who knew him. <b>Funeral Information</b> Visitation will be held 6-8pm, Fri, May 10th at Clark Legacy Center, Brannon Crossing. Funeral will be 2pm, Sat, May 11th at Clark Legacy Center, Brannon Crossing.
