Obituary of Fred Sparks

<b>Obituary</b> Fred Sparks, 74, of Lexington, Kentucky and widower of Doris Jean Long Sparks, passed away Wednesday, March 20, 2013 at St. Joseph Hospice Care Center. He was born April 18, 1938 in Lexington, Kentucky to Clifton and Eva Adkins Sparks. He was an avid coin collector, loved his life as a farmer, and willingly shared his produce with friends and family. Fred is survived by his daughters, Donna Jean (John) Hollis, Susan Jane (Steve) Sligh, Mary Elizabeth (Robert) Herald, Kimberly Gail Sparks and Lisa June Schott; four sisters; nine brothers; eight grandchildren, Rebecca Carroll, Michael Nichols, Nathaniel Sligh, Aaron Sligh, Samantha Hollis, John Hollis, Elizabeth Hollis and Kevin Roth; and very special grandbaby, Braden Nichols. In addition to his wife, Fred was preceded in death by his father and grandson, Matthew Sligh. <b>Funeral Information</b> Visitation will be 1-2 pm, Monday, March 25, 2013 at Todd's Road Grace Church, 4137 Todd's Road, Lexington, KY 40509. Funeral service will follow at 2 pm with Pastor Todd Nibert officiating. Burial will be at Athens Boonsbury Cemetery imediately following the service.
