Obituary of Carlos "Tank" Benton

Obituary Carlos "Tank" Benton, 82, husband of 60 years to Pauline Cox Benton, lost his battle with cancer on Wednesday, January 11, 2012. He was born April 27, 1929, in Madison County, Kentucky, to the late Homer and Mary Garrett Benton. Tank served in the Air Force during the Korean War and was a member of the American Legion. He also enjoyed golf and was a founding member of Lone Oak Country Club. In addition to his wife Pauline, Tank leaves behind three children, Steve (Shanon) Benton, David (Carolyn Burton) Benton and Carla (Tony) Sparks; and four grandchildren, Garrett, Seth, Luke Benton and Victoria "Tori" Sparks. Tank was preceded in death by his brother, L.F "Tis" Benton. Funeral Information Visitation will be 12-2 pm, Monday, January 16, 2012 at Clark Legacy Center in Brannon Crossing, followed by a Funeral Service at 2 pm.
