Obituary of JoAnn Fisher Berryman

<b>Nicholasville, Kentucky</b> JoAnn Fisher Berryman, 78, of <b>Nicholasville, Kentucky</b> died Monday, December 22nd 2014 at her home. JoAnn was born January 21, 1936 in Louisville, Kentucky to Tesielein Kallbreier Fisher and Herbert Fisher. She was the loving wife of Stuart Berryman for 53 years. She is survived by her husband Stuart; two sons John Stuart (Gerria) Berryman and James Price (Tina) Berryman; sister, Elizabeth Taylor; four grandchildren, Sarah Robinson, Scott Robinson Tyler Berryman, Morgan Berryman; five great grandchildren, Dakota Clark, Ayden Robinson, Delainey Clark, Daniel Clark and Dawsyn Clark. She is preceded in death by her parents, and three brothers, Herbert, Bill and Jim Fisher. Berryman taught at the University of Kentucky, College of Education for over 30 years until her retirement, leaving behind a legacy of empowered and impassioned teachers. She also loved being the wife of a dairy farmer and showing dairy cattle, where she was affectionately known by many as "the cookie lady", and was active in her community throughout her life with endeavors such as Board member of the Jessamine County Fair Board, past Board member of the Bluegrass Regional Mental Health-Mental Retardation Board and member of the Kentucky Guernsey Breeders Association. JoAnn was equally at home in the classroom or on the farm. She remains well-loved and greatly missed by her family and many others. <b>Funeral Information</b> Services will be held Sunday, January 4th at 2:00pm at Clark Legacy Center in Brannon Crossing, 601 East Brannon Road, <b>Nicholasville, Kentucky</b>. Following the service, there will be a pot-luck gathering of family and friends to celebrate her life from 2:30pm to 4:30pm. JoAnn adored a good pot-luck, so bring your favorite dish and join in the fellowship!
