I met Jim back in March. He graduated high school with my dad, James Houston Frederick. My dad passed away in February with brain cancer. I still try to meet up with his brothers and friends a few times a year at McDonalds. Jim was great to talk to, and very likable. So sorry for your loss. I hope he's drinking coffee with my dad, in the presence of Jesus! God bless you guys.

I always enjoyed talking to Jimmy at our LHS-56 luncheons. He frequently had different points of view and wasn't afraid to express them. But he did so in a friendly manner that didn't offend anyone. He'll be greatly missed.

I always enjoyed talking to Jimmy at our LHS-56 luncheons. He was never afraid to express a contrary point of view, but always did so in a friendly manner that didn't offend anyone. He'll be greatly missed.

Some say Only the Good Die Young. I say Only the Great Die Young at Heart. These are just two of the many wonderful attributes of this man. Jim Nunley was truly a Great man. Looking back, whether it was working countless hours together at the golf course, talking on the phone, or with him fixing something around the house, there was never a moment I didn't enjoy being with him. He taught me so many things. In fact he is a huge part of who I am. I am one of the very lucky people that can say they knew Jim Nunley. On June 5th Heaven gained one of the greatest gentlemen in the world. He will be greatly missed but I will carry all the great memories and there won't be a day that goes by that I won't think of him. Jim Nunley was like a father/grandfather to me. To Baraba, Becky, and Diana I'm very sorry for your loss but just know he is in such a better place now and will be watching over us every moment until we join him again. To end, if there were only 4 words given to me to describe what he meant to me it would be, I Loved This Man.

My sincere sympathies to Rebecca and Barbara, as well as the entire Nunley family. I'll always remember how kind all of you were to Susan and myself. I especially recall all the times and places we would go when our girls were dancing together.

Jim was my golf partner at Big Elm CC back in the day. I remember many great times and conversations. He was a great partner and an even better friend. I miss him and these times but I still will have the memories. I think the courses where you are will be lush and green. Make a lot of birdies.
