Thomas Eades

Obituary of Thomas Lee Eades

Lexington, KY Thomas Lee Eades, 66, died April 29, 2015. He is survived by his loving wife Carole (Cato) Eades; step-daughter Debbie (Keith) Strehl; step-son Jeff (Norma) Schriefer; grandchildren Jeffrey Schriefer, Regan Strehl and Brian Strehl. He was preceded in death by his parents Robert and Elizabeth (Rigsby) Eades; step-daughter Kimberly Schriefer and brothers Bobby Eades and Donnie Eades. Tom was very proud of his service to the U.S. Navy during the Viet Nam War. He was known for his excellent sense of humor. He had an unquenchable thirst for all things related to golf...playing (with his yellow Sponge Bob balls), reading, discussing, or best of all, watching The Masters. He also loved horse racing, especially the Kentucky Derby and his favorite horse Secretariat. After a successful career in medical device sales, Tom loved to hang out at home with his family and their dogs. Quiet times were spent reading non-fiction stories about history and watching N.C.I.S and Criminal Minds on TV, with his dog Bella, who would have followed him wherever he went. Tom was an early riser, believing "Early to bed and early to rise" was a good idea. And if you really got to know him, you got to see some of his many magic tricks. "So Fine" loved his family...especially his "Honey" Carole. Many men are known to leave a strong legacy, but none more than Tom. Funeral Information There will be a Gathering of Family and Friends at Clark Legacy Center in Brannon Crossing from 12-1:30 PM, Wednesday, May 6, 2015, followed by an internment at Camp Nelson at 2:30 PM
