Obituary of Clara E. Scalf Mattox

<b>Obituary</b> Clara E. Scalf Mattox, 103, of Lexington, died Saurday, June 12, 2010. She was born in Pike County, Kentucky, on January 22, 1907 to the late William and Gracie Blackburn Scalf. Clara was a graduate of Pikeville High School and Pikeville Junior College. She was a former teacher, accomplished seamstress and enjoyed needlework. She is survived by her daughter, Wanda (Milton) Moreland, Lexington; her son, William T. Mattox, Prestonsburg; brother, Ronald (Patricia) Scalf, Harold, KY; eight grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren. Clara was preceded in death by her husband, Frank A. Mattox; and two daughters, Janet Stanley and Bonnie Lee. <b>Funeral Information</b> A Memorial Service will be 2 pm, Saturday, June 19, 2010 at Saint James Episcopal Church in Prestonsburg, Kentucky.
